The
Michigan Chapter of Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation
(MIPARC) would like to invite you to join us for the Fourth Annual
MIPARC meeting on February 17, 2012. The John Ball Zoo
has graciously offered to host this year’s event once again. The
one-day conference will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (registration from
8:00 am-9:00 am). Following the meeting there will be tours of the
zoo’s herp collection and a Social and student Poster Session from 5pm
until 8pm. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
We will have a number of speakers discussing a variety of topics
relating to amphibians and reptiles in Michigan. Time will also be
spent to follow up on last year’s breakout topics and to moving forward
as an organization. We will be providing a detailed agenda soon, but
wanted to give sufficient time to save the date.
Registration will begin at 8:00 am and the meeting will start at 9:00
am. Morning beverages will be provided, as well as lunch and afternoon
snacks and poster session refreshments. There is a $10 fee for students
and $20 for professionals for the meeting, payable via PayPal (see
below) or cash at the door. Information on parking (free), tours
(free), and event activities will also be provided shortly.
Please RSVP by February 7, 2012 so we can order food and supplies for
everyone. You can RSVP by visiting this
link.
Please indicate your dietary restrictions and if you plan on attending
the tours or the poster season. If you have problems please email Jeff Jundt or David Mifsud.
We hope you are able to attend and contribute to MIPARC and Michigan
herp conservation. Please feel free to contact us if you have any
questions.
